Ok, so I need some boots ad I live in york. I know there's a nevisport near me. I could also drive to castleford xscape (any good for boots?). Anywhere else people know of?

I don't rate Nevisport in town, but got good service from Ellis Brigham in Cas when I got mine and MrsFE's boots last year.
That said, most  s swear by independent bootfitters - aren't there a couple in or near Sheffield, and one in Harrogate?

hmm, theres one in harrogate called White stone. Sounds pretty good but not that close. What can a good boot fitter really do? Surely they just ask you how it feels?

Not really. They measure your feet, take a good look at them then recommend the right boot for you. Asking how they feel sounds like a bad bootfitter to me

The staff at EB in Castleford know their stuff, sorted mine out for me last year and they gave me no pain or discomfort at all.

I were there at the weekend. Not buying boots, although Julian fitted my last pair too.
You turn up and put your name on a blackboard. You're then called by whoever becomes free when it's your "go". No sign of a fitter request section, and if you weren't there you lost your slot.
I'd ring and go midweek if you can.
