Now that I'm back home, with Eurosport in front of me, I'm obviously watching the skiing (enjoyed the biathlon this morning).
Just watched a great crash/recovery from Dixon on the top seciton of the course. Very entertaining, a shame he couldn't stay on-course though... still, a fun spin.

Same place, same problem... Bode shows why he's probably a great. What a recovery.
Here's the thing: I looked up, saw the incident and thought, "Wow." Then saw it was Miller on the clock, so kind of lost the feeling of awe...

The gates:length of course ratio. A little tighter with more gates than DH.
Fantastic run from Svindal.

Osbourne-Paradis with a great crash - happened to be listening to some music that fitted in perfectly with the replay. I feel okay enjoying it, as he seemed to be fine after they'd untangled him.

I missed the end of the Super-G, did the Herminator finish second? If so, another terrific result for him.

we are really being spoiled at the moment for ski racing - |
Not those of us who don't have satellite TV Sodding C4 seems to have abandoned winter sports, and the BBC is unlikely to go back to old-style Ski Sunday.

rob@rar, You are in lcck ski sunday will consist of two shoes every sunday from jan 18th I think first one at 6ish is all ski racing and a second one later with Bell and that irratating Co*k on the snowboard faffing about. (I have nothing against snowboarders I just hate that irritating Co*k)

Chasseur, indeed he did. What a fantastic effort from him. Unfortunately for Maier, Svindal is skiing like a demon in the speed events so far.
What a cracking weekend it was, plenty of skiing. Exciting alpine skiing and I do enjoy watching the biathlon.

Ordhan,
I don't call no ski racing on TV until 18th Jan "being in luck" (or even "being in lcck") - And I suspect that the quantity of coverage will be rather less than was previously available on C4.
Quite agree about that irritating C*CK though

yep - best race i've seen in a long time - a great combo of skill and fitness
GS was great too - I wonder if the other racers would be as quick as miller if they took as many risks?
