Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

On my first ski trip to Soell, the rental skis were marked R and L. I 'naturally' thought that this was the case with all skis and funnily enough had a very hard time convincing MrRibena on subseqent trips that he must be daft if he couldn't see that the right and left skis were obviously different. Mine were the GS skis: Beta Race 9.28 . As far as I recall Atomic SLs have never been asymmetric apart from the tip/tail protectors and maybe graphics.

I have a gift shop in the North West Highlands of Scotland where the mountains are rocky and no place for cattle, what cattle we have are Highland coo's and tend to roam the roads looking for grass on the verges.

So some one comes into my shop and asks if we sell cow bells? I sent them to Switzerland rolling eyes

Laughing My son, going round some cold, dark and dusty heap of Scottish heritage somewhere,at about 9 years old, asked the curator who was showing us round whether a figure at the turn of a staircase was a Samurai Warrior. "Nee sonny, yon's a Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeland Chieftain", he answered, affronted, in the best "Mr Mackay" manner you've ever seen. He even walked like him.
