Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wilson jackets: any good?

I recently bought a Wilson ski jacket for sale, was 100$, got it for 65$. That was a rushed decision, so I would like to now is it good or should I return it? It is insulated, looks nice and tough.
Any one had something like that?

fess,

I've never seen a ski jacket made by Wilson (but then I haven't seen jackets made by many other brands).

To be a jacket designed for skiing it should have a "powder skirt" that's the elasticated, popper fastened piece of material inside the jacket at waist level. If it doesn't have this then it's not going to stop snow going up the jacket when you fall.

Where did you buy it? Is it definitely described as a ski jacket?

I bargain hunt in TK Maxx for ski gear but quite often their outdoor jackets and ski jackets get mixed up on the rails (as do their ski and non ski trousers) because the staff don't know the difference.

Does the jacket have insulation or is it just an outer shell?

$100 is very cheap for a proper ski jacket, but then things on that side of the pond is compared to the UK.

welshflyer, i got it from sport mart canada. the guy said it was for skiing, and it says snow/water resitant. and there is like a skirt, which you can adjust to fit your belly. the jacket has insulation, too, its not just an outer shell. so i'm good?
