Poster: A snowHead

I am planning a trip to France the first week in March - just two of us so planning to wait for a late deal - not overly fussed where we go. I have just read this in another thread "if you end up in France, don't go till second week of March, to avoid the big holiday weeks." - when are the big French holiday weeks I though they ended third week in Feb?

foggy, welcome to Snowheads. No, the French hols last for four weeks, the last three in February and the first in March. You'll find things less busy, and less expensive, if you wait till the second week. It's not exactly a cheap week (go in mid January for that) because lots of French people without kids book then. But it's normally a good week to choose, and far better than the previous week.
