Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

French holiday dates

I am planning a trip to France the first week in March - just two of us so planning to wait for a late deal - not overly fussed where we go. I have just read this in another thread "if you end up in France, don't go till second week of March, to avoid the big holiday weeks." - when are the big French holiday weeks I though they ended third week in Feb?

foggy, welcome to Snowheads. snowHead No, the French hols last for four weeks, the last three in February and the first in March. You'll find things less busy, and less expensive, if you wait till the second week. It's not exactly a cheap week (go in mid January for that) because lots of French people without kids book then. But it's normally a good week to choose, and far better than the previous week.

foggy, don't do that. Unless it's a very high spec waterproof and breathable job. wink If we never talked about anything which has been done to death before it would be very quiet around here. snowHead

foggy, Welcome to SnowHeads snowHead w/c 7/3 IS the first French-holiday free week, but I'm getting a lot of enquiries for it all of a sudden. If cost is the driving factor, early to mid - January is cheapest, but if you prefer March for other reasons, 7/3 or 14/3 will be less busy than the first week, less expensive and as there are just two of you, you should be able to find something pretty easily. Good Luck Very Happy
