Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Car hire for Innsbruck to Ischgl?

 Poster: A snowHead

Can anyone recommend a car hire place at Innsbruck airport please? The main criterion is cheap as poss (although ideally the car should be roadworthy and capable of getting us there and back) Madeye-Smiley

Hey jonm, all the usual suspects operate at Innsbruck airport, the car hire receptions are located over in the multi storey car park. The only real issue is that the receptions are often not staffed and the staff come from innsbruck itself. You might have to try a few collection times to get them to show online availability as their office hours are also pretty unimpressive. all the cars will have winter tyres there as it is austrian law after nov each year.

As per ineedsnow's post, all the usual companies are there, but opening hours are very limited.

Assuming you are staying in Ischgl itself, I would recommend that before you book anything, get a return taxi fare from an Ischgl taxi company just to compare. Depending on the number in your group, this can work out cheaper, when you factor in petrol costs etc.

If you're staying out of town then car hire would be obviously better anyway!

my brother in law is over in Innsbruck this weekend and he is about to get hit with a 36 euro charge as his 16:00 ish flight is outside of their office hours - be warned and have a great time in Ischgl.
