Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The south facing side of the valley. Go to the top and traverse left. When you get to the second (rocky) ridge climb up it about 40 yards, traversing left after the first steeper bit and ski over - Very long descent to the valley (taxi back). This is the start.
It isn't steep but it's very nice.

Yes, we had a big fall half way through our stay, so spent the 3rd day after the fall on that side. The bits in the sun (like this bit) were heavy but the rest was great snow - though shallow near the valley.

snowball, I'm guessing yours is the Laub, though it's intriguing to see the tracks go straight after a few turns. My recollection is an amazingly consistent gradient over 1000m(?) descent. I remember writing an article about the Laub for the SCGB magazine. It was largely breakable crust when I did it, but what a phenomenal slope.

Colin B, not sure, but I think they are the Aiguilles des Arves in the distance, it's the kind of view you might get in the 'Fourth Valley' of ValThorens/Orelle looking towards the Maurienne.

This is one of my favourite easy blue runs, it's always this busy! wink :
