Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

GUTTED !!! Lost them today on the walk back to the apart & this is the only year I left my spare ones at home Sad Sad Sad Sad Only one days use. Hope the new owner appreciates them Sad Double ouch the only pair I have seen I like are 165 euros.

sherlock235, Schuss in Boots, I walked my route back immediately ( and it was a long one ) but they were no where to be seen. On the plus side we had a good 1st day on the slopes and its been snowing today so thats good too snowHead Also met & had a few runs with Kruisler.

Nice meeting you guys!
The way back to Meribel was not nice! Ended up in more wind and a white out. Still, undeterred, I went back up but with half the lifts closed, everyone was ending up on the same runs. Lots of people and bad visibilty was not an enjoyable experience. The snow was actuallly settling on my goggles. So In the end gave up at about 3pm and went back to the chalet..
Now back at work... Sad Sad

Kruisler, Use the force young Kruiswalker, use the force Laughing I had a week in St Anton and only two runs were open for more or less the entire time due to bad vis etc and after a while you start to feel the piste rather than see the piste, but you can not go too fast becasue the time diffference between 'feel' + ''react' = face plant

Not having a blast now as back at work! Evil or Very Mad

Had a great 4 days though. Masmith had the trip organised down to every little details and I can't thank the guy enough.
Decent snow, 3 days of blue skies, extremely nice company, extremely good skiers/boarders (nearly died a few times trying to keep up with that lot..), hot tub with view on the mountains (and next door's bathroom .... Toofy Grin ...), enough Jagermeister for the trip etc etc... And met DDS...
I had an absolute blinder!

After you left I did one run and then ended up getting blinding headache and felt sick so I sat in that bar whilst the others did another run. After had a beer with them they went back up the windy piste to board back to the apart and I went for the bus.... but it never turned up so i decided to walk up the hill. After a few hundred meters i decided it would be a great idea to climb up the mountain in between some chalets to cut out a large corner. Not a good idea carrying tomato sauce in one leg pocket, a bottle of water in the other, a tin of tomatos in the right coat pocket, jam in the left and a huge baguette zipped inside mt coat ... Shocked stupid stupid idea. Got back at the same time the other 2 did only to realise i was sans goggles rolling eyes

In this day and age, one can freely admit they could not be a*sed with the freezing face peeling wind and instead voted for a beer in a cosy bar, without having to dream up excuses like that! wink

If you fly from Geneva, there's a Roxy shop just outside the terminal..They sell goggles just like yours...and they have a sale... Laughing
