Which resorts do the assembled snowheads reckon are on the up - set for expansion, merging with neighbours, drastic improvement?
Can the 3 Valleys (OK, 4) become 5?
Will the portes du soleil and Espace killies continue to grow?

I'm with the Fox, big Intrawest money going into Verbier, linking with the west side of the Val de
Bagnes.
Also check your altimeter, 21st Century Alpine skiing requires a top station of no less than 3000m preferably with a glacier, a village base of no less than 1500m and nurseries at 2000m or over.

I think there will be increased focus on the Nordic resorts whether they can rival the big French ski areas is another thing.

Russian Caucaus mountains must be a good bet for future development. If they can invest in a decent lift system and manage the avalanche risks.

There was an article in one of the French ski magazines this week that said the latest focus is on 'station-villages', basically those resorts that still have a village character, La Rosiere, Ste Foy, Villaroger, Villandry etc.
