Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alpinezone.com announces a new facility for those interested in everything to do with snowsports in USA.
Quote:
This new Google-like interface dramatically simplifies the search process, and delivery of relevant results. Virtually US every resort, retailer, equipment manufacturer and snow sports related business is included in the new database, over 11,000 in total.

Here's the new Snow Directories Inc. site itself www.SnowSearch.net
How about snowHeads who know something abut US skiing / boarding checking it out and giving us user reviews.
One obvious cosmetic boo boo. The 'Most Recommended' box on the home page is truncating the links. I tried location: Whistler search for: accommodation and got 1 hit in Beaver UT 1400.29 miles away. Really useful, huh.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Is that 1400.29 miles as the crow flies, or the distance a cross-country skier would travel?

This all sounds very US-oriented. I think it's more fun to take the global perspective (viz: snowHeads).

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

David Goldsmith, absolutely. Our snowBase resorts database works. This new thing doesn't seem to be any use at all. I tried nice simple words like Aspen and Hotels and got nothing. As an interactive query system, it seems to have a long way to go. When I tried Banff it did however very pointedly tell me that was in Canada and therefore was not included in the virtual yellow pages. Don't waste much time on it, guys and gals. wink
