Snow Reports
FAQ
Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Yay
thanks to all on here who gave advice, we decided in the end to book with a TO for the protection. Got a deal from Ski Independence; flights to Kelowna (good times), transfers and 7 nights at Chateau Big White for £1000 each. Would have been about the same if we did it ourselves but ATOL & ABTA rule at the mo'.
anybody else there then?

No plans yet but I moved to British Columbia last Autumn (fall) so might just pop down to Big White for a few days in March.
BTW we've already had a couple of light snowfalls here in the Cariboo (that's about 6 hours north of Kelowna). Sadly not many ski hills just here......Sun Peaks is about 3 hours south of here.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, have fun - I loved skiing in Big white, there's an excellent kiwi bootfitter there by the name of Lindsey if you need anything like that done.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I really enjoyed Big White a few years ago. Loads of snow, but it was bloody cold! It can also be a bit foggy/cloudy at the top, so make sure you have goggles for flat light conditions - I had a memorable somersault because I couldn't read the terrain due to the flat light.
