Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hopfgarten - Ski Welt Area

 Poster: A snowHead

I think I am going to book a weeks hol in Hopfgarten as seen a deal I can't really refuse. The main concern I have is abou the snow levels and the fact that it is a low mountainous area. What is it like historically? Also how easy is it to get to Kitbhuel from this area. I have read that Hopfgarten has a train line where you can get the train straight to kitbuhel, but in reality how easy is this. Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jo

Kitzbuhel is 26 minutes away by train & easy as Austrain transfort usually is but sometimes a few seconds late unlike Swiss trains.
What week are you going, I have bad memories of the lack of snow the January before last.

I would wait and see what the snow is going to be like , it can be as cheap as chips but if there's no snow to ski on you'll be wishing you'd booked for a higher resort like val thorens, tignes
just to let you know my wife and i always book around the 10 of jan as it is the cheapest week and last season waited and booked off the tele-text not more than £100 pound each sc Little Angel then you can go again in march.
loads of cheap holidays at that time of year wait and see could save a packet. snowHead
