Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Standee, they're slow and, as they're all in one, the lenses and sensors are crap. They're like battery operated webcams.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yeah they're slow and poor frame rates..though for skiing in bright conditions they perform better then mountain biking..but still crappola.

They've also fairly large and its like having a coke can stuck on you lid.

I've got a 4kam camera running to an archos mp4 player. http://uk.youtube.com/v/J4TQlhTXjac there's some pretty average footage i got in whistler over the summer. Watch in high quality, the raw footage is still a resonable improvement on that. This cost me about £200 overall which when you think about it, a decent media device and head cam, is pretty good value. Archos players seem to go fairly cheap on ebay. thats where i got mine although you would need a few extra bits that don't usually come in the ebay bundles (e.g. av cables). I'm pretty pleased with it and there's always the option of recording to a mini dv camcorder which would improve the quality. The only things i don't really like about it is that there are quite a lot of cables involved and you have to take it all out the bacg to start/stop recording. the colours are a bit washed out as well.

Chat to Luke Roberts at morzine Snowcam. Google should do the trick. He's got some really great little cameras that he's kind enough to let me use throughout the winter, and the footage is, to my eyes, reasonably high quality.

Here he is! http://www.snowcam.co.uk/

As it's Morzine we're heading to that seems to be sound advice, cheers.

I would use the POV 1. If you have the money for it its fantastic. They are rented out in Morzine during the DH biking season and I've seen other footage from them, its all good.
