Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salopettes/Ski Trousers

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm looking for a new pair of decent ski trousers/salopettes and could do with some advice. I'm gonna be skiing in Banff so they'll need to be put up with some pretty serious temperatures.

Anyone got any tips; best quality, best value for money etc. Also, I should mention that I'd really like to get my hands on a pair of tartan ones that are good quality if possible, any suggestions??

rossco2501, like these do you mean?

tartan trousers

Banff may not be seriously cold. Personally as long as they're water/wind proof they'll be fine. Wear thermals underneath. Although the ones with micro fleece on the bum are rather toasty Toofy Grin

I actually have a red jacket so they may be pretty sweet! Now just need to find somewhere that does matching salopette/scarf combos!

Well the first time I used my Aldi ones was at -29C in Jasper, and I was quite compfortable with only a pair of thermal long johns under them, so I don't think that is necessarily a problem Smile

It is almost certainly possible. But why one would want to stand out that much, I'm not sure Smile

If you are looking for best value for money, it is worth looking at the shops in the outlet centres - most centres have a Tog24 and a Trespass, some also have outdoor pursuits shops that don't only do "own brand".
