Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Guys,

I hope whichever you go for - you have a great time. Alltracks has a number of courses in Revelstoke, Whistler and Red Mountain but perhaps our 4 week course in March/ April might suits you? Check out http://www.alltracksacademy.com
The 4 week course leads to CSIA Level 1 but also includes an overnight ski tour in the backcountry plus the official Canadian Avalanche Association AST 1 - both of which are a lot of fun but provide invaluable training if you are keen to ski off piste.
Furthermore, our accommodation is all weel located to central Whistler and we limit our group ratio per instructor.

Have a good one.
Paul

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What accommodation are you using in Revelstoke? Sounds good.

AST1 is boring (if a little interesting) and VERY cold. Standing in a snow pit for 3 hours is not fun.

I reckon the addition of the AST 1 is a nice little touch actually - something a bit different that most wouldn't start thinking about until their L3 season ahead of moving onto L4, when something with the CSGA (for which AST 1 would be needed) is on one of the pre-requisite options.

It is a nice addition but it is by no stretch "fun". Maybe it was just our guy but I don't know anyone that really enjoyed it.

I think like most things it depends on your guide. I find snow safety facinating but that is probably because skiing powder is about my favourite thing in the world and I know the more i learn, the more fun skiing I have. I understand that some may fing it a little dry though...
