Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Thorens, Flaine, Serre Chev, Val d'isere or Alpe d'huez?

What one should i go for out of the following:

Alpe d'Huez £399 flights and accom (self-cater)
or full board: £500

Serr Chev £399 - Self cater.

Flaine - £309 - self cater

Val d'isere - £339 - Self cater.

Val Thorens - £315 - full board.

Also going to get a 'ski-pack' with 6 days tuiton, equip hire and local ski pass (about £215)

I am really set on Val Thorens, the whole thing works out @£560 with insurance. That includes EVERYTHING!
The only thing i am bothered about it the long trip/transfer.
Transfer time is 4hrs! so it will probably work out about 7hrs journey time and I hate flying! lol.

Like i said i'm pretty set on Thorens, any ideas? last min tips?

Many Thanks,

M

They're all good, draw straws Very Happy For me, I'd go to Val D'Isere or Flaine. Flaine will have the shortest transfer if that's a priority.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

i suppose the upgrade to the fab snowtrain would be too expensive (if you want to cut your transfer times and avoid flying).

Only 1 choice there- Val Thorens - Full Board. Cant see why anyone would even consider the rest at those prices!

Although i've been to Alpe D'huez many times and Val Thorens only once, i'd defo choose Val Thorens ... huge area and the snow was excellent - looks a good price too. We paid about £700 all in for a chalet in March last year.

mbwest, they're the best skiing on the planet Very Happy VT has some great terrain but some of the pistes tend to motorways. But they're all good stations and good snow records.

VT and Flaine lack Alpine charm, SC has some and the others lie somewhere between.
