Im after new skis, and im headed to verbier for this season.
Is it best to wait and buy out there or get them here before i go?

We have two dirt bag sales at the start of the season. One at the Mont Fort and one at Wonderbar. You can get older unused skis from ski shops having a clear out right down to battered rock skis offered by the true dirt bags.

I was thinking about the obSETHed or salomon lord depending on price. perhaps with marker duke bindings or fritschi. but something along those lines.

Obsethed is a maybe, you certainly wouldn't want to do a season on a ski that should have a first name of gay.
As they are this years models you won't find them mega cheap. My advice: get to resort, you should get some free hire skis as part of your package so use those to find your legs then as the snow comes, test some real skis and then buy. You should be able to get a seasonaires discount and some shops will let you make a couple of payments so you don't have to pony up all at once.
Don't get Fritschis. Only get Dukes if you intend to skin on them

I have a pair of piste skis, and was thinking of using my rental to get a board, but think it will be best to wait till i get out.
PS your right getting skis with gay lord as a name would be a mistake.
