I want to get hold of a new Mammut Barryvox. Does anyone stock these in the UK?
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I ended up buying one from Germany as I found it difficult to find anywhere in the UK that actually had one in stock. I'll dig out the shop name if you like?

I think the Mammut Pro Shop in Chamonix sell them, can't remember their exact location though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

SMALLZOOKEEPER, does anyone sell anything Mammut in Shamonicks? I'd be surprised, orange so doesn't go with navy blue, you look terribly Italienne.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Both would be ideal. I'd also be interested in your opinion re it's effectiveness, ease of use, position options etc.

spyderjon, I've uploaded two pictures to the location below, one with me wearing it.
http://www.philw.com/sj/
The harness is comfortable and holds the unit securely, with the main strap made from fairly wide none stretchy webbing, and the waist strap made from an elastic fabric. I did find the main strap a bit fiddly to adjust to fit, but I've not had to adjust it since.
I'm not too sure how else you can wear it, the straps don't seem to position quite right on the right side of my body. I found it nice and comfortable on my left side so haven't tried to change it.

You know it makes sense.

philw, that's for the info. I asked that same questions on Epic & TGR & the general concenus there is that the harness is designed for the Pulse to worn on your front as opposed to your side.

Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

spyderjon, so not where I have it in my picture? I guess that I have it halfway between side on and on my front...
