Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes fun ski instruction for an 8 yr old

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My wife, 8 year old daughter and I are off to Tignes Le Lac for a week from 13-20 December. I'm looking for a good ski school option for my daughter. She's been skiing about 8/10 times now since the age of 3 and is a fairly competent blue/some reds skier. Normally she goes on trips I organise for loads of children. So she is normally doing lessons with her friends but this time we are going solo as a family. She'll want to ski with us but I want to get some time off for some more extreme stuff plus I know the value of instruction for her. I am looking for some ski instruction options that might motivate her to do some lessons (half days, either all week or part week). So instructors that love and specialise in lessons for kids and/or, possible, some form of 'ski camp' thing for kids. Any ideas, contacts, feedback, offers welcome.

Doesn't sound like anyone has any bright ideas on this. Just thought I'd get the thread up to the top of the list and nudge anyone out there who might have suggestions.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

StanBowles, Stewart Woodward instructs in Tignes and works for ESF, you might PM him for further info as to what's suitable. I had a private lesson with him in January which was really good.

StanBowles, My son had adventure type lessons with Evolution 2 in Tignes and they were great. He normally doesn't like lessons but really enjoyed these.

StanBowles, I'd echo stevew's suggestion of Stewart Woodward. He taught me on a Snoworks week but I know he does teach children quite a lot and would be fun for your daughter. Try sending him a PM http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=7892 or if you look at one his posts his email address is in his signature.

If he can't help you on that week he would probably be able to suggest other options for you.

This is great. Many thanks stevew and ruthie. I'll check out these suggestions. In the meantime, if anyone else has got any experience of this, keep the suggestions coming.
