Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

iv just brought all the relevant kit to service my skis but im not shure about my park skis i have a pair of salomon 3v's which i have edged and waxed without probolem same for k2 public enamy's but i have a pair of atomic triplets for kikers and jibing they have some stuff on the bottom to surposedly stop the bottom of the ski wrecking on rails and im not shure if it should just be waxed over. also are there any specific edging angles or anyting daft like that for a pair of park specific skis .

Don't sharpen your edges on park skis. Or if you do, don't do it underfoot. Sharp edges will catch on softer metal rails, or plastic boxes, which isn't fun.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hey parlor, hows it going man? Haven't posted for a long time, still come in and have a nose around occasionally!

Sorry to hijack the thread Whitey. Welcome to Snowheads.

Building on the previous post - with park skis, generally they're going to get pretty beaten up anyways, so not worth servicing them too frequently, or getting too precious about the odd scratch in the bases. Once you start hitting bigger kickers, it is however worth giving them the odd lick of wax, esp if you're riding later in the afternoon, or late season, as coming off the lip of a big kicker and realising you don't have enough speed is one of the less pleasurable sensations in park skiing.

"magseven"yeah ur right mate i have noticed that they grip after a half a season or so's hard skiing but to be honest iv just never got around to waxing them because its happens so slowly it takes time for me to notice the wax has faded and like you said they get a good bashing anyway so im not too precious with them but ill do it evrey now and then since it sucks when you case it.

cheers for the help wink people
