Mosha Marc, I did, but you guys couldn't make it, if I am not mistaken. Your course kept you busy all week. It was you who said the wed was out... no..?
We planned to go to Verbier on one day and I had parlor's number. Didn't actually get out of the valley at all for 2 weeks which was a shame in some ways but then the valley had good snow. So I can apologise to parlor for that, but you can't say we were going to meet up becaseu you had no free time... I am sure that is what the thread said..
This year, our group has a different make-up so it will be easier for me to get away but I will have to do it by public transport so am not beholden to the car driver..always a problem...but also it might take me high on 2 hours or more, to get across. Hence, I said I'll keep an eye out...and you don't know if/when you can get a day off yet, anyway.
And at this distance, I don't know the logistics of getting down from Zinal, along the valley to Sion and upto to
Veysonnaz or wherever.. but you never know.

Mosha Marc, No problem, and we didn't get to ski Verbier at all....which p**d me off...but then that can be the way group dynamics work...ours, I mean.
I would love to consider it...but I'll have to use a bus... that is the only thing I can rely on. It may well be wishful thinking that I can get over.but if I can find a timetable down to the valley...I know the train coincides quite well with hat. I might need local knowledge of buses to get up the other side..... but that would still leave me the wrong side of Tortin..???

parlor, how long do you think it will take by post bus/train.. to get to the eastern end of the 4V, ie, nearest to Sion ..and then up and over to say, Tortin...
I think a timetable says I can get to Sion by 0756 or 0935, so within 90 mins.
Or, come to Zinal...not sure if our tele-guy is about yet.
I would fancy popping over tho'..if poss..
