Cornwall's first artificial ski slope is to be built near Newquay, despite having been rejected by planning officials. The £3 million development was approved by the government following an appeal. MK Xscape I reckon - well only if you ski through the glass wall which seperates the slope from that little swimming pool

buckers, Swansea/Gower if they actually build the ski slope that has been given the green light by the council, ....... and actually only 5 minutes apart if you count the in-door surf machine at LC2 leisure center

Cyprus - about 1 hour from coast to troudos moutains. did it on christmas day (oh years ago now) coolio tho at the time. went snorkellin the morning and sledging in afternoon and wow to top it had a spit roast chicken for lunch in the snowy outdoor restaurant.
Can't beat it
