Roger C, you won't get the first issue - it takes about three weeks to process an order in the new information age. Basically, any subscribers should already have their copies - if you haven't, then your sub will start with the first one you receive. Does this make sense?

fallliner thanks, looks like a trip to WH Smiths for the first issue then!
Hope the new goggles arrive before the season really starts, a pity but I wont have them for my first trip the the ski and board camp next weekend

fallliner, I signed up yesterday, and I was wondering whether there's a choice of colours for the goggles?

Picked up the mag in WHS on Saturday, subscribed via DD for the freebies on Sunday. If all is as it seems, then it's a STELLAR offer...

foolchild, White for ski, black for Document Snowboard. Let me know which you'd prefer.
Ordhan, it depends when you signed up - email me at richard@fall-line.co.uk and I'll see what's going on.
FastEddie, I do hope it's what it seems or I'll get lynched...
We're at the B'ham NEC ski show complete with goggles, stickers and assorted gizits so folk can see our tawdry wares for themselves.

fallliner, I hope so too - but if the goggles match the quality of this season's premiere issue, you needn't be worried - being as much of a design geek as a ski geek, you win for me on both counts

Dear Fall Line (and Document)
Please stop printing articles that are rotated 90 degrees from the normal aspect of the magazine. It looks like I'm checking out a porno centrefold on the bus.
And as for that upside down piece talking about Australia. That's a really lame gag and quite annoying to read.
Kind regards,
A reader.

got to agree with paulio... it's a ski mag, not a graphic design mag. The japan article in the first issue, having the text written in japanese the right way up and having to rotate the mag to read stuff written in english... not easy when you're trying to read the mag whilst eating a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes and holding a 13 week old baby in the other hand!

Can't find Fall Line at all in Edinburgh, anyone seen one? Tried WH Smiths at Cameron Toll and the Gyle and a RS McColl that used to stock it last year

Just picked mine up at Xscape in Castleford - the little newsagent there clearly knew which side its bread was buttered and had about 20 copies of each major snowsports mag!

£4.95 Nearly told the girl in Smiths she'd made a mistake - a quid up from last month for a gear guide and an ad pamphlet from sudtirol. I usually want a DVD covermount in that price range.

And how come the snowboarders get bandanas and dvd's and the skiers never get anything???
|
|
|
|
|
|
fatbob, yes, this issue is more expensive, having the Gear Guide, though regular readers will know we didn't charge for it for the last couple of years. Other issues will go back to £3.90, unless we foul up the bar code. Again. Snowboarders get a bandana as well, but after taking it up again last year I insisted on one to stick down my trousers.
As for goggles, we had the examples in this week and the rest should arrive and be shipped out at the end of next week. Allegedly. The examples do look like those in the mag, for which we are mightily relieved.
If anyone's at the Birmingham show, do drop in. We're next to the talk theatre where CEM and Jon's Ski Tuning will jibber incessantly before being fire-hosed off to allow someone more interesting to talk about driving in the snow.
