Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Austria - possibly?

Alright chaps, been a while since I've been here!

Anyway I'm thinking about next years little trip. The last 3 have been 2 weekers, about time to downsize a little, or should I say - downspend. Did Whistler this past season which was cool Smile Though couldn't be bothered as much as I had thought I might!

This next trip, it's my intention for it to be myself and the missus, and also my brother who finished uni this year, and can finally come on a trip.
So that makes a lovely odd number of 3.

My first trip was to Austria, to Ellmau - it was actually really good, snow conditions were pretty good.

I'd like to go somewhere a little more exciting. Whistler and Panorama (canada obviously!) both had plenty of stuff that wasn't pisted. From memory, Ellmau and surrounding was very much piste the whole way, fine as a beginner - but after being a little spoilt with Whistler, I don't want to go somewhere too dull.

So, any good suggestions as a start? I'm really struggling this year to narrow it down for some reason! Don't much need hotel specifics to start with, moreover resorts - can work on the accom after!

If it has to be Austria, then St Anton is the place for you. Switzerland is up market Austria - Verbier has loads of easily accessed off-piste but not the cheapest place for drinking. Get a catered chalet with wine included to keep to budget/

eddyr,

I really enjoyed Saalbach. Good snow record, plenty of piste, well laid out.

eddyr, Davos? not that lively, although there is stuff going on if you look but the skiing is top class loads of great piste skiing and also loads of easy off piste bowls. Flights from City to Zurich then train down makes is very affordable. just a thought if you fancy somewhere more ski than apres
