i have therefore bought some new noronna kecks, smith goggles, smith sunglasses and a couple of patagonia calpilene tops all for about £180 including shipping, assuming the cashback works

Thought the backcountry outlet 50% off code expired end July.
Been lending serious consideration to the Blizzard Titans with Dukes (despite having some unmounted skis in my garage) but hopefully HMRC would kill that idea with import duties - what did you end up paying on the XXLs?

it was a bit odd because i put them in my basket while the 50% deal was still working but didn't get round to buying them until last night. however, the 50% deal still operated AND i was able to add further stuff which had 50% off.
If i was in the market for new skis, I would be all over those Titans. I have their predecessors as my touring skis and they are really great
re the XXLs, if I remember correctly, duty plus brokerage came to about £50 extra. annoying but still a very good deal

You have to check what PP is as well... a jactek was going to be $57 and skis $200 to ship....which they declined to do...thankfully, as it would have been the deal-breaker for me...anyway
Anyway, have found skis UK bound for £200..same ski, older graphics..which I prefer anyway... just need the Dukes from T-P or elsewhere

actually, now I work for an American company, I might have to see if I can find someone at our US office to stash gear for me which I can then pick up when I visit...

fatbob, i'm going to wear out my current skis before getting new ones (although I am a bit worried by reviews saying the new model Legend Pro is dumbed down and noodly - might need to stock up on the old ones  )
