Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just about anywhere in the Dolomites. It's about a 2hr drive from Venice airport to Cortina.

Cervinia is a good bet - very high and snowsure as is La Thuile.

nick0861, As RobW says, the Dolomites is good.

The Trentino Dolomites from Venice, or the Brenta Dolomites from Milan (Passo Tonale being one of the highest resorts in Italy, so pretty snow sure).

Not much apres in La Thuile, I stayed in the Planibel complex Feb last year. Crevinia has more bars and is a little better. To be honest never found great Apres in Italy. Smile

Val Zoldano area is very picturesque and reasonable cost wise.

I was based at Civetta for one winter and had a ball.

How about the linked Monterosa area near Cervinia: ie Champoluc or Gressoney le Trinité (Alagna, the third, is only suitable for good skiers).
Good skiing for various standards, including good off piste, and pretty Villages. Nightlife might be a bit limited for other than a meal or a drink - I don't know - I've only stayed at Alagna. Airport Turin, I think.
I don't know how they are for booking odd periods - I'm finding it harder and harder to find anywhere to do other than Saturday to Saturday.
