Poster: A snowHead
|
Lots of folks dream of climbing Mt. Rainier but in my view they should be dreaming of skiing it. It is much much more fun to ski down than slide on one's butt or walk down.
The views are fantastic, almost like those one experiences from an airplane and the run is never ending. Here is a little slideshow from July 3 ski descent of Emmons-Winthrop Glacier.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Yeah crevasses are unnerving at first but you get used to it fast. As long as I can see where they are it is fine, the real scary ones are those hidden under fresh snow.
