Just booked with some friends for long weekend here. Anyone had any experience of the area, what the snow is like in Feb and the apres ski?

croskemj, Kitzbuhel is vastly overrated. The slopes are average and the lift system and skibuses are utter rubbish.
However, the daylife and nightlife are good.
The snow will be fine, because Feb is peak-Winter.

Utter rubbish comes in many forms  Kitz is a really nice resort, has plenty of steeps if you want them, plenty of off piste too. They are in the process of renewing many of the lifts, and as of a couple of years ago has connected up the Pass Thurn area with the main ski area via a valley-spanning gondola. They also now have a connection with Westendorf (havn't tried that yet). The area rarely gets really full, unlike (e.g) St.Anton. All in all it's one of the best ski areas in Austria! Enjoy.

You're 100% wrong.
Was there just a few months ago.
The skiing sucks. The lifts suck. The skibuses suck.
It is little more than a few hills with the odd lift stuck here and there. And occasionally a bus will turn up and take you the x miles to the nearest lift.
Kitz disappoints bigtime.
