Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Starting tomorrow Wednesday, the first of three days of practice for this weekend's women's World Cup downhills (Saturday and Sunday). Practice plus the real thing all scheduled to start at 10.30 am - O.K. piste, La Daille.
Anyone else be there to support Chemmy? I'm going on Thursday, definitely.... not Friday if it snows like it's supposed to! Then hopefully all weekend, if the races go ahead.
If anyone wants to meet up, PM me, Les Tufs bar would be favourite....

Hi PG - am arriving Sunday. Would love to share a beer with the legendary Mr Garwood (though must admit would prefer to share it with Chemmy!). Where is Les Tufs?

Who wouldn't! And I think mythological rather than legendary would be more appropriate....
Les Tufs is the bar-restaurant between the Daille funitel station and the bottom of the O.K. piste where the race is taking place, just a minute's walk from the arrival area. If they start on time and everything goes according to plan they'll be finished by 1 pm, the prizegiving following pretty quickly after that. I have to get away pretty promptly though - what time do you arrive?

No idea yet, as have yet to book (waiting for that price to drop another 20 quid!), but I imagine it won't be until late afternoon. Maybe too late to confirm the existence of the mythological PG!
