When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

No snow means summer activities at Victoria’s ski resorts

The slopes are still bare of snow in Australia, and bike riding or bushwalking are more the order of the day than skiing. In fact, Victoria's ski resorts will revert to their summer activity schedules to try to keep youngsters occupied when they descend on the alps once school holidays start next week....The weather bureau is forecasting scattered snow showers this Thursday, but not enough to open the runs. It has been too warm to make snow this month too. For example, at Falls Creek this month, there have only been three opportunities to produce man-made snow.
