To achieve perfect balance on your skis how should your weight be distributed through the soles of your feet.
Some would argue to "stand" on the skis and have it pretty much 50/50 from balls of the feet to the heel.
I would argue that it is better to have 2/3's of your weight on your balls of the feet with 1/3 on the heels

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I wish I had the subtlety to control my fore/aft balance so that I could specify the percentages on different parts of my foot. I aim for standing in the middle of my foot and only rarely try to deviate from that (occasionally I'll drop onto my heels a bit, eg end of a short radius turn or maybe in untracked powder, which seems to work for me). Other than that I like to stand in the middle.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

me too but i reckon that being on the balls of your feet is more dynamic and will provide better balance that being centered in the middle. Only one mans opinion though

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

skimottaret, I'd have thought it should vary...
When I'm "gunning it" I tend to be more foreweighted - as I tend to need/want quick/aggressive turn-in.
When I'm skiing bumps I'm more upright and neutrally weighted (that's a new feature this year after reading Dan di Piro's book).
Off piste, especially in variable conditions my balance is massively more dynamic. (At least, I think so...)
