ski, if you haven't just dinged it, or haven't an old injury recurring, could it be gout ??? You're going to have to give the medics amongst us a bit more to go on to get any useful advice? And I'm no medic but I do know a bit about gout.

ski, Get used to it. The older you get the shorter the period you can ski before the pain cuts in. Take drugs, strap it up, or have a rest.

4 days to go and your right knee has started to hurt? 4 days to go and mine hasn't, I hope it's not contagious! I sold my bike last week to avoid the temptation...
Drugs, booze and a warm compress may help!

I tweaked a knee last year. A doctor on the same trip lent me a knee brace and gave me a few volterol. Skied on very happily after that. (I had already popped in to see a physio who had said that I probably wouldn't do any more damage while skiing - just needed to control the pain.)

And what to do about it? Cut out the GS, and stay on your bike.
