Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

veeeight, I've heard and seen a few definitions of 'braquage' so it's hard to know which one you were marking on wink

I'd like to see him stay a little closer to the fall line, he's describing slight arcs at the moment.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
3 areas of improvement for me:

1. fore-aft balance - i'd like to see him centred throughout the whole sequence
2. pivot point - is the pivot point under the feet, or is the pivot point towards the front of the skis (and this is where you picked up the slight arcs)
3. hip position - but this is a nit pick, it's really quite good, a little hip drop can be seen though on the 3rd turn

That would definitely pass a ISIA exam, but he'd need to get it almost perfect to pass a CSIA L4.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've replayed it a few times and to me he doesn't look far away with regard to fore-aft balance, but judging from the way the snow is coming off the ski I can just see him moving his weight forward at the start of each turn which I guess is altering the pivot point towards the tips ?

Am I right in thinking he's also settling on his heals a little at the end of each turn ?

This is *very* nit pick, but you did ask what would make it a "10".... Laughing

Yes, he is a little aft on his heels at the end, but the biggest fix is for him to move that pivot point under his feet. It's an interesting dillema though, if he wants to reduce the tail swish, one of the ways would be for him to move aft......

In terms of symmetry, his L turns show much better "natural separation", his R turns suffer from that dropped hippy thing.

But once again, these are minute nit picks. At the end of the day it is an excellent demonstration.
