Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski hire in Tignes

Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone recommend a hire shop in Tignes?

Ski Republic still do 2 for 1 deals, but would you recommend them?

I know there are a few options, and they are probably all very similar. But i was wondering if anyone has had particularly good or bad experiences with hire shops in Tignes, or can recommend a person who is particularly helpful?

Cheers!

I know people who have used Snow Fun / Ski Set, Precision in Lac, Favre Sports in Val Claret, Vallon Blanc in Lac,and Mick Sports in le Lavachet , they all have good reputations. Depends where your staying and when - some shops will be closing in the next few weeks.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There is a thread on the SCGB site, if you are a member, about Ski Republic. I used them for a party of 15 last month - shop is about 1 minute walk from bottom of Palafour chair in Le Lac. Did a very good deal - 7 1/2 days for price of 6. Very helpful in shop, some peolple changed part way thru week without any problems. Price on website in £ but converted to € and then back to £ on my credit card - cost about 5% more in the end. Would use them again, but most of my party were not too fussed with particular brands/models. All skis were in good condition.

Hodude!!

I have just attempted to reply to your PEM re the Tignes studio (Apols for the delay - been away - then couldn't get the e mail to open.... ).

Can you see if it has worked as it was my first stab at this and my reply is shown in my "outbox" but not in my "sentbox".

Cheers!!
