Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

$98 Perisher Blue
$97 Thredbo
$94 Falls Creek
$94 Mt Buller
$94 Mt Hotham

$72 Val D’Isere (France)
$71 Arlberg (Austria)

My Melbourne-based nephew says it's cheaper for him to fly to NZ for a week's skiing than to go to one of the Oz resorts. Usually better skiing, too.

pam w, Also in Mount Buller you have to pay to drive up the mountain, I suppose it's about supply and demand.

Most, if not all, Australian ski resorts are within the country's National Park, so you have to pay entrance fee to go to the ski slopes.

We were shocked by the lift pass prices in Australia (Mt Buller particularly) - certainly didn't seem value for money. The skiing in NZ was much better and far more cost effective!

I wonder how those prices compare to a day at a UK snowdome wink

Go back Country and earn your turns! The Oz snow industry is kidding itself! Hay if people are that crazy then ley em pay for it. I think that the AUD has been high and it will be interesting to see what happens as money tightens up in Oz!
