Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I Need the Name of A Particular Hotel at Aviemore!!

Found a great looking Aviemore hotel on the net a week or two ago. Didn't save any details and now can't find it despite searching every Aviemore-related site I can find.

Here are the clues - can anybody help??

1. I seem to recall it was described as recently built or new.
2. Very modern looking rooms.
3. Had its own website.
4. Rates were very reasonable - room only at £50 or £60 per room.
5. May have been described as near to the roundabout/ski road turning as you enter Aviemore from the south.

mountainaddict, Recently built or new? I stayed at the high range in 1985 and it was far from new at the time...

I'm afraid they recently demolished where you stayed and the highrange are most definitely new just built and opened this year. Right by the stupid new roundabout at the bottom of the ski road.
