Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

You were riding switch in the trees?! Respect to the mentalist! Cool Toofy Grin

Not mental, just un-skilled. Sad

I was already down when the tree came up to meet me. So I rolled to present the (relatively) less vulnerable part of my body to it. Shoulder and back took the first hit. Got turned around and bounce off another tree, off my helmet, though at walking pace. Can't even see scratch marks on the helmet. Smile

BTW, I don't purposely ski switch (nor jump). But it's been known to happen without my intending to. Sad

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person
......always a good one this....

I now wear a helmet plus a moto X type back, elbow, shoulder and chest protector (got it new from e-bay for only £25), the back protector is removable so depending on the time of year and where I am skiing I can choose to wear the whole lot or just the back (which I always wear)... Anyhow I had a big 'leap of faith' today down a run and I got up again, laughed and skied off... needless to say without it blah blah blah....

Due to being out on the mountains a lot (as we are here running the business all season) my main concerns are not of me falling but by being taken out by someone else. There have been far too many injuries caused by people to others due to irresponsible skiing and just plain accidents. If you are taken out by someone 'snow-riding' at +40mph and smash to the ground these types of safety precautions will work!
