Poster: A snowHead

Hi all
anyone had a problem with the on/off switch on their tracker?
Mine broke.... was turning it off at lunch, and the switch sheared off.
Was more than a little annoyed, as unit is only 4 months / 3 trips old.
( I can still move the contact which is under the switch to turn it on, but not confident that it would remain on when in use.... clearly less than ideal)
Will be sending back under warranty, assuming I can find the paperwork.
Has anyone else observed this problem? With other units? Any issues with warranty claims?

Happened to a friend of mine shortly after he bought it and they changed it no problem.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

hamilton, wouldn't worry too much about paperwork, which country did you buy it in, if the UK then the distributor is very good at sorting any issue with any of the products they work with

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Happened to my bro 1st trip with it. Fortunately it sheered off in the on position so he just removes the batteries at the end of the day.
Not a good track record for a safety critical bit of kit

Exactly the same thing happened to mine, and it was only a couple of months old. I bought it from FaceWest and they exchanged it no problem and very quickly - I didn't even send them the receipt. This was two years ago and have had no probs with the new one, or with the older one that we already had.
