would have if we were still in meribel, alas no. Tho actually probly being there at the same time as all the racing kids would have been a bit of a nightmare!

skimottaret, I was coaching during the Junior and Senior week then racing in the Scottish champs. The Junior GS was on Sunday 6th, but it was open to seniors as well. I didn't really see all that much racing myself as I was concentrating on getting people into the start gate on time. I did get to see David Riding's winning run in the SL from the final ridge. Another memorable image was the railroad tracks on Choucas after everyone had been using it for DH and SG warmup.
Both men's GS races were cancelled at the Scottish champs, we inspected and the first few went down on the Thursday, the Friday race was abandoned before we inspected.

rjs, I managed to catch some of the SL runs and it looked pretty tough conditions with a lot of skiers coming out. I bumped into Georgie Hunt on a chair lift and managed to see him race in the Scottish, did really well one day but lost it during a very good looking run the second day I seem to remember.
Did you enjoy the runs or was it as cut up as it looked

CEM, really soft from some high temps. I had to go to Albertville on Thursday and it was 23 degrees in town

It was bucketing it down with rain on Friday morning, most people didn't even bother picking up their bibs. On Thursday it was too soft, but not quite wet enough to get the salt to work well.
The girls' SLs went ahead both days and held up fairly well. They had to walk down the course on Thursday to inspect so that the snow was churned up enough before salting.

It was pretty standard conditions for Easter races.

It wasn't all that cut up, I just wasn't doing what I had been practicing in training.
