When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

British skier falls to his death in Tignes

A 56-year-old from Leeds fell to his death yesterday, while skiing in Tignes. The man has yet to be named. He was reportedly cutting between two ski runs when he fell, and suffered serious head injuries. Doctors were unable to save him. ...He is the second Leeds man this month to be killed in a winter sports tragedy in France. While snowboarding, Phil Tate died on March 2nd after falling 80ft down a crevasse on the famous Vallée Blanche off-piste route in the Mont Blanc range above Chamonix.
