If you can ski uphill (about 800 vertical metres), then it wont be a problem. Take Bus to either "Ardent" bubble, bus to "Prodain" cable car or walk to "Super Morzine" bubble.
Enjoy your week, and welcome to 's

matty146, yes it is and the runs from the top to Avoriaz were still open last week when I was there. But it's probably easier and gives more options to get the bus to Ardent.
Welcome to snowheads and have great fun!

matty146, I'm going to Les Gets on the 23rd so I'm hoping there will be some snow, as I really want to have an explore and maybe get over to that 'The Stash' place in Avoriaz. By all accounts, it's gonna be cold next week with some snow so hoefully that will still be there when we get there... fingers crossed

matty146, plenty of snow high up and skiable down to Ardent on good (artifical) snow and Prodain (a little icy and bare in places). Chatel / Linga had the best overall cover. You'll have a great time.

matty146, I was there last Jan in poor snow conditions and it was still possible from town via the Super-Morzine (great name ) gondola and then up the next hi-speed quad chair. One then made it down to the quad chair up to Avoriaz by sliding slowly down a gentle road which they gallantly kept open as a small strip of white inamongst the green, green grass.
The return was also possible, this time involving a little skating action and then of course downriding the chair to the top of the SM Gondola - an armchair ride over the bare slopes, always an experience
Personally, having a pathological hatred of all things cable-car and Bus related, I enjoyed the trip...

matty146, did the runs from Morzine to Avoriaz today. Snow is fine on the way to Avoriaz. It's all jsut straight shussing after all. On the way back, the Proclou run is fine, and then Tetras is fine most of the way - it gets a bit slushy near the bottom, but still perfectly skiable. Will let you know if this changes later on. It snoed all day today. More forecast for tomorrow too.
I'm coming Easter sunday, when are you coming here?

Buckets of snow forecast from mid-week onwards - looks like I might have times it well after all!

You know it makes sense.

Just got back from Morzine - and Morzine to Avoriaz is definitely skiable - but a little dull.
Better option is to get a bus to Prodain - BUT rather than queuing for the cable car, wander over to the public car park and take the 3-man chair. At the top of the chair you'll need to ski down a bit of a red run to catch a second chairlift up to the Avoriaz proper - but you'll beat the cable-car queue

matty146, went to Pleny/Les Gets today. Snow was fine. Cloud/fog meant bad visibility tho. the run back down into Morzine was really slushy at the bottom, but if all else fails you can get the bubble down.
I agree with abj, avoid the cable car queues at les prodains and get the chair. Another tip - if you want to get the bus back from Les Prodains, either ski down, or take the cable car outwith peak times - it is REALLY busy between 4-6pm with HUGE queues.
If you want to meet up on Saturday afternoon/night for a coffee/beer and piste map study session in Morzine with me & hubby, let me know a time & place.
