Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Geneva motorway tunnel works

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
MrsPhillipStanton and I had a spot of excitement on Thursday evening (just after 23:00) when we found that the motorway from Geneva airport to France was closed due to works in the tunnels.

Given that I know how to go via the motorway, or go via the motorway - this wasn't a very inspiring start to our weekend.

To be fair, they had put up diversion signs. But they were unlit and only visible if you had the eyes of an eagle. We soon lost them.

10 minutes into our frustration, we discovered that we had both satnav in the hire car and a map DVD in the glovebox. So we pulled over to work out how to program it and 15 minutes later, after having worked out how to use it, we set off again.

Only to discover that we'd stopped 400m from the motorway slip road we needed rolling eyes

Anyway. If you're arriving late at Geneva in the near future then it might be worth either taking a map or satnav if you have one. Just in case.

thefatcontroller - I'm presuming that it's only late. Although what constitutes late is anyone's guess.

I can't imagine 4:30pm would be a problem.

4:45pm however... Wink
