Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Please help

We are 3 basic intermediates looking for private ski lessons in the morning Mon 17 Tue 18 Wed 19 of next week in or around 1950 (happy to travel anywhere in the resort) - sadly we cant get a response to such a requests from the supposedly business hungry schools in Les Arcs andwe think we've now tried them all.

Has anyone any suggestions?

Many Thanks

Maybe you are right but it does restrict you somewhat - in the sense that we want to get some decent tuition and then be free to do what we want for the rest of the day.

timmythedog, the instructors at Spirit 1950 are hired by the owner, Vincent, on the basis of need- he has a minimum core set of instructors, but buys in extras during the busy periods.

So they are usually quite happy to do either 2 hours over lunch ( 12: - 14:30) or 14:20 on, or indeed both sessions, but there almost certainly won't be any slack in the system in the mornings if they are full of group lessons.

Case in point - January - we went out as a 4 in the morning. At Easter, the week after you, we have had to book the private lessons for the afternoons.
To be honest, found it worked OK for us in the past - kids in school in the morning, adults blast around the place. Lunchtime: alternate with some of party taking on child-care duties, some on private lessons. And we've found the intructors v. good.

Having said that, I do think it better to phone rather than email their office for immediate response... (technology eh? - who needs it?!).

timmythedog, We tried to book some private lessons in Les Arcs in advance for Half term week the best response we had was "call into office when you get in resort and we will try and sort something" they were only interested in filling group /week long lessons.
