Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Helmets

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi everyone,

I am a student and am researching ski helmets for a marketing portfolio. Would you be able to provide me with any information about the ski industry and how it is moving forward. As I am focusing on ski helmets, any information you can provide me with about how they are made, how they are differentiated from each other in the market and any new technologies which are being developed will be appreciated.

You can contact me by my email address with any information or advice:

vh.tmayer@ecclesbourne.derbyshire.sch.uk

I would be grateful if you could fill in the following survey I have made which will help me with my market research.

Thanks,

Thomas Mayer

Why not ask the helmet manufacturers or look at their website content?

Best if luck.

Tommyboy101, To explain the comment above - there has been a huge amount of discussion in threads lately regarding the pros and cons of helmets - if you use the search function to look for helmets you will find a huge amount of debate to provide background for your research.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Tommyboy101, welcome to snowHeads, sorry you received a rather unfriendly welcome from some. I hope you do find some useful background in the many threads mentioned by Megamum, a lot of it is just heated arguments for and against, but not all that much about the technicalities of manufacture etc. I don't have very strong views either way, nor do I have a lot of knowledge about them, although I have recently started wearing one. Have filled in your questionnaire to the best of my ability anyway. Good luck.

I've done your survey - which I think has many questions in line with our various discussions.

Tommyboy101, welcome to snowHeads,

not a brilliantly designed questionnaire - you need to specify Q10 is a ranking exercise. the price bands are ludicrous. And you need to learn to spell.

I cannot see that your questionnaire will answer many of the questions you pose in your post.

Good luck anyway snowHead

 snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

stoatsbrother, You never went on the course that taught 5 bits of good news for every 1 piece of bad news then wink I did note the good luck though!!

Tommyboy101, I do agree with stoatsbrother, on one point though - what is it you want to find out? Your questionnaire poses questions more in line with the 'should you wear a helmet debate', whilst your post here suggested that you were more interested in how they were made. Are you looking for answers to both issues?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

You worked that out, and so did I. Maybe everyone will! wink I agree with all your points, actually, but poor young Tommyboy101 is probably feeling awfully discouraged, which would be a pity.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
