When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Christmas Eve car hire 2008

Just thought I'd post on this in case it's any help to anyone.

We've booked for our Christmas / New Year break and are landing at Geneva airport late on 24 December. The only problem being that it's Christmas Eve and Christams Eve is the bigger day for the French / Swiss. Consequently, we've been having a problem booking a car for arrival at 22:30 because the hire desk "shuts early".

The solution is to request a car for before 21:59.

pam w, I am somewhat banking on the fact they'll be open to meet the flight - although I'm expecting to have to pay for the privillage. Famous last words and all that.
