Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

When to go to Colorado/USA?

Im out here now. (last week Colorado, now in Idaho). March is the most expensive month (Accomodation). It is also Spring Break in March so the easily accesable resorts get the college crowds i.e any resort withn 2hrs of Denver (Vail,Brekenridge,Summit County) .

Feb/March is the best time. I also come out for Thankgiving (November) as its dirt cheap but the skiing can be restricted due to reosrt not running at 100%.

Lucky snowHead !

So if it's mainly the accommodation that is the difference in cost, I shouldn't be affected as much if I go to somewhere like Salt Lake City in Utah for the last two weeks in March 09? Puzzled

I did a search on here and found a link to these people: http://www.americanskiclassics.com/ and I managed to go back in time and look at the rates for a place in Park City for the last two weeks in March 08 and I found somewhere for 2 people for about £500 each, which didn't sound too bad to me?

I'm not looking that far into the where at the moment, more the when, and i'm sure there are better places for the money etc, but for the time of year it seemed reasonable...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ok, so the first two weeks or the second two weeks in March 09??

The impression I get is that it might be slightly cheaper and quieter in the second half of March (correct me if i'm talking cobblers!).

I know it depends a lot on the location, so if we say Utah in the hope that thats where I end up, what do the experts reckon? Puzzled

Thanks in advance,
