Very nice weather on the glacier, cold and clear and great snow. It's the first day they've managed to get it fully open. The terrains not very good but we did have a very good lunch at the restaurant so not a bad a day out

Thanks for posting those pictures ise. We are out to taht very area in 4 weeks time and I am beginning to get a little concerned at the conditions. At least there is some snow forecast today and tomorrow - it will be interesting to see how much actually arrives.

Kramer, that's what I thought as well. But, we've been having some fairly cold weather now which is good. I keep thinking of last year, it was much better this time but then it all melted. The day it was supposed to open over at Morillon it was just grass outside, the next day it started to snow and the day after that we had a couple feet of powder and were skiing below where we have our flat.

ise, I notice today that on myswitzerland.com that Gstaad-Saanen-Rougemont is showing 52/52km open at the moment. I find that hard to believe given the low altitude of those resorts, that the last snow was on 11/11 and that it is 5 degrees. Is it right?

Ray Zorro, can't be, I was over there the recently and it was mostly grass. I'm sure there's been snow since the 11/11 as well, and it's way colder that +5, it was -3 in Fribourg town at lunchtime.

I can't make sense of the reports from Gstaad at all, we've people here this weekend wanting to go skiing so I'd like to work this out. I may call them up.
