Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Evening All,

I'm currently trying to organise a weekend escape for myself next weekend, but finding it hard to match up well timed flights, resorts, and reasonably priced hotels. Have any of you used ski fresh tracks run in association with the ski club of GB? Did you have Good/Bad experiences?

Ta,

phil

philw, I've done two such holidays. They were fine, perfectly well organised and, although not cheap, good value for money. The quality of the party leader affects the overall experience, inevitably: one of my leaders was brilliant, the other wasn't, but even in the latter case there wasn't too much to complain about, she was just a bit of a sourpuss.

Hurtle, great stuff thanks for the info.

When I mentioned reasonable above I was talking £125 per night or less (some places were asking £2-300!), I know that weekends never work out cheap, but I just can't fit in a week off at the min! £525 for flights/transfer/hotel does seem quite value, and I don't have to search for and organise it!

philw, I've done a couple of their 'instruction' holidays. Last one was in Tignes. The instructors were superb and to be honest if you are an easy going kind of person then just go with the flow and get on with the crowd. Some of ours were slightly odd, but on the whole ok. One man (a Dr) did nothing but talk to my boobs (rest assured I am no Katie Price!), we also had a middle aged single Judge who decided to start a case against our leader who was the sort of woman that girls ran from in the showers after hockey lessons, but on the whole Shocked they were a nice bunch. At the end of the day I was there to ski and learn and that I did because as I said the instructors were simply superb, fielded in from various resorts just for us.

There was a kind of boarding school mentality when it came to supper. I got talking to people on a chairlift who live in the next village to me that happened to be staying in our hotel. I sat with them for supper and not with the group one night, but our leader frowned on this as it didn't build 'team spirit'.

Don't let it put you off. I would go on one again.
