Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Anton -Off Piste Bowls and Runs

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I'm off to St Anton mid March and conditions permitting I'd like to go searching for some serious powder. I've been there a good few times myself but was just wondering where do 'regulars' suggest the best powder trails and bowls are?? (particularly those that may keep us away from the crowds)

thanks for all advice,
Daithi

p.s. apologies if this has been covered already

Cool beans folks, some of these look peachy, thanks.

p.s. no harm to read snowballs, push up toes in recovery technique either.

horgand,

Good luck trying to beat the locals in St A to powder stashes. I would think you need to go far and wide and with someone who knows.

Hi Shorty,

Yup, I luv Rendl too for same reason, and also wind dependent, snow quality tends to remain better there longer. Ain't done a lot of off piste there tho, except for a very nice bowl over the back a few years back which I'd be pushed to find now tbh...

Thanks Folks,

Went on trip for Easter week- awesome skiing. Skied 2 days in Zurs, mostly in a great bowl near 'Madjock' lift. Spent a few days in Rendl and went with Piste to Powder for 1 super days guided off piste where we did the schon grappen, an off piste run under galzig going right and in the afternoon did Rendl over the back twice from 2 different spots- great but fairly exhausting work at times.

Anyways thanks again for all the tips and continue to ride safely.
ciao,
H
