Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just bought some, thinking of going to stay at a friends tiny studio in VT next week, can i remove my Footbeds at the end of my ski day, lay 'em down in his kitchen as a comfortable place to lay my weary body?

Yes but you'll only get a proper nights sleep if the footbed is no longer than 8/9mm more than your body length. If they're longer than that & you've been stitched-up by ya boot fitter.

They are for sleeping in wardrobes standing up, you need to have them fitted by a proper 'bed fitter' though. Sounds easy but bed fitters have trained for years - normally as marine biologists, photo copy service men, window cleaners etc . They then decided on a career change but failed the vets course so had to do 'sommert else' (some still have dreams of dealing with animals and convince themselves they are running a pet shop or zoo etc). It's best to seek the advice of a few bed fitters but not because this will help the fitting in any way, more just so that you can hear just how much they slag each other off.
